Event Junkie : noun (i-'vent junk-ie) 1 - a person who chases or is addicted to jobs at the world's largest events. 2 - a person who gets an unusual amount of pleasure from organizing chaos at events. This term was coined in June of 1993. At the World University Games in Buffalo, New York by Michael Pitts. Just for historical fact. The Event Junkies List was my personal rolodex from the 1990's. That I placed online after having helped produce the 1994 FIFA World Cup here in the United States. I was assigned the Stanford Stadium complex to manage all the logistics of the setups and configurations. As well as the daily operations support of all the operational departments of the games time operation. Those worked that FIFA World Cup event wanted to stay in contact. So the Event Junkies list was born in the very early days of the internet back in 1994. For about 10 years I kept up that list for my friends and associated. That list is going top be re-born
